I might be wrong
Bound Object

2026
Book

Exhibited in venues including Printed Matter, Center for Art, Research and Alliances in New York, Enter Enter in Amsterdam, and PROGRAM/ME in Paris as part of A Sequence of Spaces: Yale Graphic Design MFA 2026 Thesis Book.

I might be wrong is a body of work showcasing the trajectory of design practice orbiting around ideas such as multiple truths, the absurd, and everyday practice. This bound document is one of multiple possible forms that the project can take. The spreads from I might be wrong (Installation) were taken down and then bound into this book.

Excerpt from the editorial statement
...

A book that mostly forgets about the methodology of categorization, except for the underlying dualistic scheme of language and image. This means there is only a reticent strategy of hierarchy. No evident sectioning. No captions that correspond neatly to each image. A somewhat flat typographic system.
A book that refuses to suggest a complete, singular truth. Contents consist of incomplete representations of a work, works that have never been realised, works that failed to be chosen, works that lost competition. Works loved, hated, and not cared for.
A book that denies the state of resolution. Images and texts are self-aware of their needs to be constantly calibrated. Version after version, revision after revision. Processes presented as results and vice versa. Each work is a different rendition of a vaguely common idea. Every writing is one possible combination of words that attempts to get at the same topic.
A book that thinks of the relationship between its form and the idea of definitiveness. … It is a bound object … It is an installation in a space … It is a website … Each permutation sometimes seemingly oblivious of the others’ existence, sometimes directly referring to them, presenting itself within itself.

The extensive effort that the book makes that this statement describes, has happened and is happening under pressure of the omnipresent weight of doubt.
I might be wrong.

The book begins with Makereadies(a collection of silkscreen test sheets) chopped down to fit the format of the book. This is then followed by the basic categorization structure of the publication: image and language.
